Merel Gilsing

Merel Gilsing is a freelance project leader in the film industry, located in the Netherlands. As an expert on young audiences and talent development she has worked for several festivals, museums and film theatres. For ten years, Merel worked at the education department of the Dutch Film museum EYE, as a coordinator for the industry, where she was responsible for the selection of films for national school programmes and short film youth programmes. Merel currently focuses on projects aimed at film and media education and serves as an advisor of the film department at Cinekid Festival, the largest media festival for children in the world.
