However, dreams push people to do extraordinary things.
Director Statement:
I don't like the division of people into "them" and "us", even in a positive
way. I love Alikhan and I want him to be able to become an ordinary
dreaming child while he has his chance.
When I did research on Down syndrome and the lives of people with this
syndrome, I just wondered how I could not know about them.
After meeting Alikhan, I firmly decided "if not me, then who".
I want to pass on to others through the film at least some of the unique gifts
that I received from communicating with him and his friends.
For me, the film is an attempt to share with the audience the love of life and
admiration for its diversity. And I will be very happy if it also serves to change
the attitude of society towards any extraordinary people.
