Duz

Directed by Giordano Gano Scialanga

Synopsis:
Michele’s life is completely transformed by an unexpected intrusion: torn clothes, blood everywhere, gray eyes, and… a particular revulsion toward anything leftist. Michele encounters the first fascist zombie in history.

Director Statement:
In the initial stages of creating this short film, I was only thinking about the comedic and absurd part of the situation. The idea of having zombies with political colors made me laugh a lot. Then, as time went on—and seeing how the world around me was evolving—I began to reflect on what I was creating, and this short film became a sort of warning: ‘hey, look, those brutal ideas that seemed dead, which have set the world back who knows how many steps, are still alive and kicking (unfortunately).’ DUZ—playing with stereotypes and symbols—seeks to remind viewers of exactly this.
