Pallbearer

Directed by Martin Crasborn

Synopsis:
To be a professional pallbearer, you need to grow a thick skin. 23-year-old law student Luca knows this all too well, who regularly carries strangers' coffins to their final resting place as a side-hustle. But what if a budding love with one of his colleagues forces him to let down his walls?

Director Statement:
First and foremost, Pallbearer tells a universal story about the struggle to embrace one's own vulnerability, and to let others in. It also illustrates how this can be even more difficult for young queer men, even in more progressive environments, because ideals of masculinity and internalised homophobia get in the way.
