Carlo, a 19-year-old teenager has a very content life in the city of Trieste. His life revolves around his grandmother Sandra and his best friend Federico. The deadline for a job-offer in Tuvalu is approaching fast and Carlo is lured by Federico’s idea of home and disdain for the rest of the world. With Tuvalu set to disappear due to rising water levels and Federico using Trieste as an emotional anchor, will Carlo be able to leave home and his only world to find himself thousands of miles away on a sinking island?
