Director Statement:
One night when I was 18 years old, after being out with friends all night, it first happened. I got dizzy, saw black marks, started to sweat. My friend helped me to lay down on a sofa and grabbed my leg that couldn't stop shaking. I took a pill and fell asleep. When I woke up, my mom was there, and I still could feel waves of pressure down my chest and belly. I started to cry and told her that I want this feeling to go away. That's the first anxiety attack I can recall. I wanted to make this film almost as a therapy for myself. Hospitals makes me nervous so I decided we will shoot the film in a hospital. I wanted to face my fears and I wanted to laugh while I do it, so we put some jokes in too. I'm so happy this film exists because it actually helped me get out of my own head, out of the loops I keep getting myself into. Anxiety is a shared human experience, and I hope people will be able to relate and maybe even find comfort in this film.
