Ugne Pilkionyte
Ugne studied in the south of France at Sciences Po Paris University where she gained an academic background in political science and international relations. During her university years she contributed to the work of Amnesty International and acquired experience in diplomacy by working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, her home country. She continued garnering professional expertise in policy making and EU mechanisms in a research institute where she investigated socio economic and migration issues. She joined Think-Film with a desire to use visual storytelling to lift policy off the page. Think-Film Impact Production is an award-winning film company using powerful and emotional storytelling as a driver of policy discussions and tangible political impact outcomes. As part of the team, she worked on impact campaigns for multiple documentaries and fiction films. For example with the NatGeo award-winning Documentary "The Territory" she helped mobilising EU policymakers to support an ambitious european regulation on deforestation, which protects Indigenous rights, and now she is working with Arte docuseries "Our Forests" to continue increasing corporate responsibility in forest areas.
