Synopsis:
In the dimly lit backstage of a theater, Raffaele, a talented young actor, nervously prepares for an audition that could alter the course of his career. While he strives to impress the director, his manager questions the suitability of the role. However, behind the scenes, a concealed secret is going to shake up his audition in unexpected ways.

My short film, 'A Step Back,' serves as a social impact project by exploring the intricate themes of mental health and personal identity. Through the narrative of Raffaele, a young man grappling with his multiple personalities, the film sheds light on the complexities of the human mind and the challenges faced by those living with psychiatric disorders. By portraying Raffaele's various personas, the film provides a poignant and raw insight into his internal struggle to find true identity and heal. Additionally, it raises significant questions about perception of reality and emphasizes the importance of awareness and acceptance in managing mental illnesses. 'A Step Back' aims to foster open dialogue about mental health issues, encouraging understanding and support for those affected.
