Synopsis:
How do your aunts deal with (mis)information? "Give Us This Day Our Daily Leash" is a satire about the political radicalization of ordinary people in WhatsApp groups. Marcelo is a gullible and religious police chief. Sitting in his office, he is amazed by the videos sent regularly by his aunt, Dona Lidiane. When she pays him a visit, Marcelo doesn't even question what his true intentions are.

Director Statement:
Social networks profit from the political radicalization of ordinary people, undermining social cohesion and the foundations of democracy. Families are divided and dialogue is interrupted by the creation of parallel realities, fostered by far-right international articulation. Millions of ordinary people suffering from the crisis of capitalism are captured by these narratives, our own mothers and fathers. The situation becomes even more dramatic in a climate collapse scenario, which requires immediate action. And then, what to do?
