Synopsis:
Still Ukrainian is a film about Ukrainian refugees in the United States 2 years into the war. Today we share a piece of their stories to remember about Ukraine and keep helping. “Today is Ukraine, tomorrow it’s America or another country until it’s too late”. With over 100 interviews and 10 in-person shoots, this documentary features interviews with 6 families from Kiev, Mariupol, Kharkov, Odessa, Kherson and other cities in Ukraine. It focuses on the address to outside audience who want to understand more of the conflict, stories of escape and more.

Director Statement:
At its core, "Still Ukrainian" is a social impact project aimed at raising awareness about the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and advocating for continued support for those affected by it. The film serves as a reminder of the human cost of war and the importance of solidarity and assistance for displaced populations. Sometimes we cannot understand what people go thorugh unless we hear their stories. And there cannot be peace and justice until all the untol stories are told. By sharing these stories, the filmmaker hopes to inspire empathy, understanding, and action among viewers, encouraging them to engage with the complexities of the conflict and contribute to efforts for peace and reconciliation.
