THERE IS LIGHT

Directed by Pency Lucero

Bullfighting becomes a haunting metaphor for the dance of mortality between man and beast. The crowd rises with every strike, their applause echoing the solemnity of death's grip on life. The protagonist, an empathetic observer, grasps the weight of the spectacle on the Spanish psyche, yet it saddens her. Each bull, driven by instinct, chases the toreros, their eyes revealing a peculiar curiosity. Amidst this tapestry of existence, the protagonist ponders the gaze of impending demise, finding a surprise in human eyes and now summoning, like a fleeting film frame, the indelible expression etched upon the face of a bull.
