What if we were all born androgynous? Half male and half female, yet forced to reshape ourselves over time and forget our original form?
This is the question from which the story of Orlando unfolds: a young androgynous man who, after living his life hidden underground, is brought to the surface by the one he calls the Chief to face the moment of transition, that is, the transition to a single-sex, male or female.
However, Orlando once he reaches the surface, after seeing the men and women, hesitates to make his choice. Before the Chief can choose for him, we find ourselves in a psychiatric office. A dramatic story that examines sexuality through myths, reflecting on the concept of gender in the contemporary world. The androgynous Orlando does not
represents nothing more, in fact, than any individual within society, forced, to conceal his identity because of the stereotypes dictated by the gender division.
