Director Statement:

The Film Taar, is about the bleak ecosystem in Ladakh, India. Being amidst the mighty Himalayas we witness climate change every passing year, in the form of melting glaciers, snow avalanches and flash floods destroying entire villages. While writing the script, I was determined to craft a narrative that would shine a spotlight on the critical issue of climate change. Growing up in Ladakh, an area acutely attuned to the repercussions of environmental shifts, I felt an urgency to address this subject through story-telling.
