Lino Guanciale
Born in 1979 in Avezzano, after a youth career in rugby, he graduated from the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in 2003, receiving the Gassman Award as the best student of the decade. He began his theatrical career working with illustrious figures such as Gigi Proietti, Claudio Longhi, Franco Branciaroli, Luca Ronconi, and Michele Placido, who directed him in "Fontamara" and gave him a role in "Vallanzasca – Gli angeli del male". Since 2005, he has been teaching and promoting theater in schools and universities, including IUAV in Venice.
He made his film debut in 2008 with "Io, Don Giovanni" by Carlos Saura and participated in films such as "La prima linea", "Il gioiellino", "To Rome with Love", and "Maraviglioso Boccaccio". He starred in "Happy Days Motel" in 2012, co-starred in "Il volto di un’altra" and was part of the cast of "L’estate sta finendo".
On TV, he appeared in "Il segreto dell’acqua", "Una grande famiglia", "Che Dio ci aiuti", "La dama velata", "Non dirlo al mio capo", "La porta rossa", and "L’Allieva". He hosted the documentary "L'Aquila 3:32 – La generazione dimenticata" and acted in "Il Commissario Ricciardi", "Sopravvissuti", "Noi", and for Sky in "Un’estate fa".
On radio, he participated in "Miracolo italiano" on Rai Radio 2 and narrated audiobooks for Salani and Emons. He achieved theatrical success with "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui", "Il Ratto d’Europa", "Ragazzi di vita", and "La classe operaia va in paradiso", winning the UBU Award and the National Association of Theatre Critics Award. Recently, he has brought to the stage "Non svegliate lo spettatore", "Dialogues of Refugees", "The Cruelest Man in the World" and made his directorial debut with "Wedding by Elias Canetti".
In 2015, he received the Flaiano Award and in 2023, the Ciak d’Oro. He published the book "Inchiostro" in 2022.
