Waiting for the performance in the theatre
Directed by Anastasiia Ishchenko
Synopsis:
I have one rule: shoot the way you feel. And I did, I filmed my friends who are passionate about what they do, I filmed my mother sharing her memories with me - and all through my eyes. Through shooting and editing, I conveyed the feeling of being in love with the world and my dynamic vision.
Director Statement:
In this film, I want to prove to people that art always burns in each of us. Even when it's war, even when it's scary, even when you bury your friends because of the war, you convey your feelings to the whole world through art. I want people to see my film and realise that each of us has a magical thing that can pull us out of the abyss - our creativity. I can't imagine how many talented people there would be in my country right now who could change the world for the better through their art, but they are gone, they were killed by the war and we will never get them back. War kills not only innocent people, but also the future they could have brought us. I want the war to end, I want people in my country to live by their art and be in love with life. And I want everyone who watches this film to feel it.
